Mau Saver Bot

Overview

Mau Saver is an advanced Telegram bot that unifies downloading and processing media from more than ten major platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and SoundCloud. It handles videos, reels, posts, playlists, audio content and voice-message transcription, all powered by a horizontally scalable architecture designed for high throughput and low latency.

Motivation & Problem

Before Mau Saver, most solutions on the market were either limited to a single platform or felt slow, fragile and unsafe. Many of them were built by Russian developers, lacked transparency and did not scale under real-world load.

As PAS7 Studio, a Ukrainian product and engineering studio, we wanted to build an alternative: a secure, independent and fast product that combines all major platforms in one place, supports every common media type and remains stable even under heavy use.

Architecture

Under the hood, Mau Saver is a distributed system composed of more than eleven independent microservices. Each platform — YouTube, YouTube Music, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, SoundCloud, Pinterest and others — is served by its own worker service with individual replicas, scaling policies and queues. Messaging between services is optimized for low overhead server-side communication, and caching is applied to repeat requests to keep response times consistently low.

This separation allows us to scale hot platforms independently, protect the system from cascading failures and roll out updates with minimal risk. Heavy workloads on one platform do not impact the others, which is critical for a bot that runs 24/7 across hundreds of chats and groups.
